GAME QUESTIONS ANSWERS

1. How many levels does Star Trek Elite Force feature?
There are 11 different missions, split up into 1 to 7 levels each.
2. How does the menu system work?
Elite Force's Main menu can be accessed at any time during a game by pressing the Esc key. Maneuver the cursor with the mouse or use the up arrow and down arrow keys to highlight options inside the Main menu. At the Main menu, you can choose from the following: New Game, Load Game, Configure, Voyager Crew, Credits, and Quit. The New Game sub menu of the LCARS system allows you to choose your difficulty level and gender and then launch your new game.
3. How do I configure Elite Force?
The Video, Controls, Sound, Game Options and Default Settings sub menus of the LCARS system allows you to adjust settings to optimize your gaming experience.
4. What are some known demo issues?
Pressing Esc during a cinematic could cause skipping problems. Similarly, do not save a game in the middle of a cinematic, as upon loading the game may not function properly.

If you change video settings while playing the demo, you may receive a sound file missing error message. However, you may continue playing without further incident.

Refreshing the server causes the sound to skip as if the game has locked up on Windows NT. Connecting to a server on the LAN takes a long time (1 minute+). We have found that NT machines with both IPX and tcp/ip protocols have caused this to happen. This can be remedied by removing either protocol and leaving only TCP/IP or IPX bound to your network adapter. You can also add "net_noipx 1" (without quotes) to the gameshortcut command line. Example: "c:\program files\raven\Star Trek Elite Force\HMstev.exe" +set net_noipx 1. You may also add this command in the console: net_noipx 1 You must enter this command before you launch the map. To bring down the console press the tilde "~" key. It is to the left of "1" and above "tab".

5. What is the console command to check the framerate?
Type in "cg_drawfps 1" (without the quotes) at the console and hit enter.
6. How do I skip the cinematics? Space Bar and Escape don't work?
Press the Enter key to skip cinematics. Or bind a key to SkipCinematic.
7. Do any Star Trek cast members appear in the game?
There is a list of Trek alumni supplying their voice talents in the game:
NAME  PREVIOUS TREK ROLES  EF ROLE
Kate Mulgrew Captain Kathryn Janeway (VOY) Captain Janeway
Robert Beltran Chakotay (VOY) Chakotay
Roxann Dawson B'Elanna Torres (VOY) B'Elanna Torres
Robert Duncan McNeill Tom Paris (VOY) Tom Paris
Ethan Phillips Neelix (VOY) Neelix
Robert Picardo Holographic Doctor (VOY) Holographic Doctor
Tim Russ Tuvok (VOY) Tuvok
Garrett Wang Harry Kim (VOY) Harry Kim
8. Who is the character that I am playing in the game?
You play the role of Alexander or Alexandria Munro (yes, you can choose to play as a man or a woman). Your character is a member of the Elite Force of security personnel named the Hazard Team.
9. How much of the inside of Voyager will I see?
Every major room within Voyager has been recreated, on 8 different decks. You will be able to walk through the hallways, enter rooms, use the turbolifts, and even access some Jefferies tubes.

There are three all-new team members. Kourban, one of the few Klingons in Starfleet, joins the team as heavy weapons specialist. Jorge Gonzales is a master of espionage, and the attractive Sydney serves as the team's pilot. For more information see our Characters section.

10. Does the game depict excessive violence, such as blood and gore?
Although I would not consider it excessive, the ESRB states that the game features blood, gore, and violence, giving it the rating T for Teen.

HoloMatch (which is DeathMatch), Co-op maps and different styles of multiplay like Capture the Flag are offered in multiplayer. Currently, Elite Force has TCP/IP Internet and LAN support.

Yes. Like Quake(R), you will be able to set up your own server, or hop onto a number of previously defined servers.
