Long long ago, when Picard's grandfather was in diapers, and Kirk was out saving the universe, the Tribbles lived among the galaxy. They were just a bunch of non-sensient, speedy regenerating little balls of fur, and were doomed for the rest of eternity to live, regenerate, and someday die.

Then, Q came along. Yes, Q. He saw the poor little creatures, and decided to do them a favor - he granted them the gift of intelligence. Thus, they were sensient from that day forward, and began to quickly advance technologically. Soon enough, they had warp technology, and the next obvious step was for them to enroll in Starfleet.

A Tribble in STARFLEET?! No way. That's exactly what Starfleet had to say. You, the first Tribble to pass the written and oral tests, must complete the remaining training courses, and you'll be a shoe-in for Star Fleet! So, don't let your race down! Complete the holodeck training courses, and start the new era of Tribbles in Starfleet!
