Hubrin Brotherhood summary:
Capital world: unknown (only three (from about 40) Tabula Rasa's worlds are known
as mainly habitated by the Hubrin: the windswept,
forest, but pleasant world of Jagganath
(unknown system), red, dust planet Orgolio (Jotunheim system) is the second
possibility, icy, snow covered planet Junil IV (unknown system) is the third; nevertheless, Hubrin is an extinct race due to prolonged and
exhausting war with the Metar)
Interstellar flight: unknown (teleportation at far range is in common use
amongst them)
General characteristic: proud, not-assuming, distinct, alien, spiritual,
intellectualists, deadly warriors
General tactics: quick, long range attacks, nearly constant motion
Background:
Not much is known about to race called: the Hubrin. The Klingons first
realized they are deadly opponents (and paid heavy price for it). Other
powers (as well with the Klingons again) lost several staff members during
Hubrin incursion.
Later
revelance showed that Hubrin 'enhanced' their abilities tenfold. Many
tousand of years (far earlier before Earth's existence) ago the Hubrin
existed as as peaceful race of warriors and intellectuals. In their
beginnings they created the Hubrin Brotherhood organization. Even though
they lived in prosperity they never created something we could call an
Empire, but it does not
mean
they wasn't powerful. Their technology consists of special powered green
crystals, from which they construct everything they need. One of the Tabula Rasa's planet (Lupercal
system, Lupercal Straits planet)
contains
that material and that was the case to construct special building, which
I'll mention later. It is not clear, but it seems Hubrin had to discover
systems of planets, which now are called Tabula Rasa. They have met Metar here.
Metar name comes from two words: Met-Are. When Hubrin first conntacted Metar
they were also a peaceful race, so both agreed for trade-agreement. But that
was a very short agreement. The Metar started it's evolution and their
points and reasons completely changed, including Hubrin case. Hubrin were
concerend about this change, but did not interfere, unlike Metar which
onslaughted Hubrin colony on
planet
Durac (Durac system) and raised it to the ground. The millennium war started.
Hubrin was actually loosing, their mineral resources were diminishing, but
in act of desperation they've constructed an Anomaly Device, which for they
used mentioned crystals from one of Tabula Rasa's planet. Anomaly Device
ripped
a fabric of space and sealed the Metar and also the Hubrin in the anomalous
subspace void. Two enemies entered forever dormancy and the war was over.
Intrestingly, but only Hubrin operating at Metar worlds were lost, but not
the rest of Hubrin, which actually has (maybe still have) it's original
orign in different galaxy. Why they didn't rescue their brethren, remains a
mystery. Perhaps that Hubrin who discovered Tabula Rasa systems were rogue
and main Hubrin did not put a great interest when they were lost and did not
start a rescue operation. Perhaps... The outlook of Hubrin species is also
unknown (they never appear outside their fortresses or vehicles) so this two
pictures are purely imagiantive
and
it is only my imagination how thay can look. Do not take it seriously, as
virtualy anyone can imagine differently about them. I also think, that,
Hubrin
species is divided between two sexes. Hubrin forces on Tabula Rasa are
spread, outnumbered and outgunned, because the Metar, so officialy only
about one vehicle and one type is structure is something known. Hubrin tanks
firepower are extremely efficient. They fire from great distances and one
shot can deal with most of the vehicles put by wheter it is Federation,
Klingon or Romulans, including the Metar. The only flaw is that their
cannons can fire only in one straight direction ,
so if they must fire on something on the left they have to turn whole
vehicle to the left too. This is really great disadvantage, especially when
fighting Metar who's units are very mobile and quick. Hubrin fortress is the
only one known Hubrin building on Tabula Rasa. It's a floating s tructure
armed with three cannons installed on every arm of this star-shaped building.
This is not production facility however. It's rather a stronghold and relay
station to other Hubrin fortresses. Hubrin cannot manufacture any
vehicles, while trapped on Tabula Rasa. They can only beam them from other
colonies or even planets (Hubrin subspace channels are very reliable), but
even this is very sufficient action. Besides, Hubrin are very ancient race.
